Finally started a blog. We'll see how often I write in it, but there are lots of pictures to look at! It'll be nice to write the stories behind the photos, though. :)

Oh, this is sheer heaven...
3 Doors Down and Bob Seger, together. A gorgeously haunting song, two incredible voices...wow.
(The song is Landing in London, btw.)

I'm slowly getting my pictures from my trip ready to view...I need to finish adjusting them, but I thought I'd post one of my favourites for you. :)
This was taken in Llanberis, Wales...it's all that remains of the castle guarding the pass between the mountains. And no, I can't remember the name of it. :P The man in the picture is repairing what remains of the walls.

Ok, I am BORED to tears...so I'll bore ya'll some with ramblings about absolutely nothing. :)
It's a bit too hot to sleep in here yet...87 degrees inside. It's actually cooler outside...I gave great thought to sleeping out there, but the mosquitoes changed my mind for me. J is sleeping downstairs where it's a tad cooler. Problem is, if I walk around up here, it's very loud downstairs, so I can't do the normal things I do at night. Clean the kitchen, put the dishes away, potter about the house, etc...
I've been a slug today. I finished one book (The Death Artist) and read another...Kate Atkinson's (I think?) Case Studies. Wow, seriously cool book. I couldn't put it down!
I played on the computer for several hours, talked on the phone a bit, and drank what seems like several gallons of water. I wish I had gotten some more of the pomegranate green tea I found at the store, but I only got one since I didn't know if it was good or not. It was fabulous. I could have guzzled that by the gallon today, too.
I'm a bit bummed because I only did the most miniscule of workouts today...it was just too damn hot! I had planned on trying it at about 2 am, but since J is sleeping in the place I work out and it would be Way to noisy to do it up here, I guess Im just going to miss a day...well, I did 1/2 hour maybe, but it wasn't much at all. I still get a mark on the calendar, but it isn't a satisfying mark...
Tomorrow (ok, today, now that I noticed that its 1AM) marks the end of the first 12 weeks of the exercise program. I think I'm gonna miss the halfway point by a pound or two...unless today's sweat-fest did something. I'm not going to be upset about that, though. We'll see what the morning brings! Well, it's Supposed to bring the AC repairman! I'm really hoping he can fix it soon, if for no other reason than to spare the poor cats. They are so miserable. :( Poor Hatt in his little black fur suit...
Ok, since I have to get up reasonably (for me) early, I'd better try to sleep. Should be interesting...
*icon is purely wishful thinking...

On cats, cooking and mangos...
I'm making Mango Chicken for dinner. I was cutting up the mango to put in the blender when Bumny decided that it was time for a kitty-freakout.
Zoommmm! Across the living room.
Zooooommm! A bounding leap to the door.
Boinnng! An impressive 6 foot spring straight up to bat at something invisible to human eyes.
Zooom! A mad dash into the kitchen. One problem ...a little thing called Inertia. He can't dig his claws in to stop like he does on the carpet.
Scramble! 4 legs going in every direction.
Thump! Slight impact with the cabinets.
Boooing! Bounces off the cabinets.
Thud! Slides into my feet. Hard.
Squish! The impact knocked me forward just enough to cause certain parts of my anatomy to contact the cut-up mango bits. (remember, I am short...they aren't that far above the counter top...)
Shadie, off to change her shirt before someone wonders what in the hell is seeping from her breasts...
